"We must not forget those who died for us to live.
To forget them would be the greatest sin."
This book was written by Paul Andari and is a testimony
given by the author himself from the beginning of the
Lebanese War, the beginning of the armed struggle of the
Lebanese Christian resistance against the Palestinians
and later on the Syrians, and the end of this armed struggle
in 1991 which was the beginning of another struggle, the
political struggle. He describes the bravery and determination
of the Lebanese Christian Resistance, mainly the Lebanese
Forces, to defend their regions and defeat the invaders.
Later on in the book the author shows us the tragic internal
war between Christians which certain Christian power seekers
led and that weakened us and the free Christian presence
too.
Finally the author explains the new era the Lebanese Forces
have entered by dropping its weapons in 1991, a wise decision
taken by the Lebanese Forces leader, Dr. Samir Geagea.
The author discusses the era of the political struggle
that we are living in right now and adds that our martyrs
are our pride and their remembrance is a must.
A nation that forgets its martyrs, those brave men who
died for us to stay, is a dead nation and a shameful one.
