Fouad Abu Nader
-Fouad Abu Nader was born in Baalbeck, on June 27, 1956. His father was Antoine Abou Nader, his mother Claude Pierre Gemayel.

-He completed his primary and intermediate studies at “Notre-Dame de Jamhour” and his secondary studies at the College des Frérès "Mont La Salle".

-In 1970, he joined the Kataeb party and in 1974 took the oath as a Kataeb member.

-In 1974 he joined the medical school at the American University of Beirut "AUB", he left "AUB" and moved to the Jesuits medical school from which he graduated as a doctor in 1982.

-In 1970, He joined the Lebanese struggle.

-In 1973, he participated in the fight alongside the Lebanese army against the Palestinians. At that time the Kataeb party stood with the army against the Palestinians.

-From April 13 1975 until he was appointed leader of the Lebanese Forces he was involved in almost all the battles with the resistance.

-In 1979, he became the head of the 3rd Branch in the Kataeb security council.

-In 1971, he was appointed inspector in the Kataeb Regular Forces, which was the para-military branch of the Kataeb party.

-In the fall of 1980, he was appointed the head of the 3rd branch in the Lebanese Forces.

-In 1982, he became the Chief of Staff of the Lebanese Forces and vice President of the Kataeb Security Council.

-On October 9, 1984 he was elected the head of the Lebanese Forces. He was the second leader after Bashir.
