Life imprisonment for Ghassan Touma
The permanent Lebanese
military court on Thursday sentenced in absentia a life
imprisonment for Ghassan Touma, the second ranking man
in the dissolved Lebanese Forces militias.
The court accused the " fleeing Touma," of forming
a gang that committed crimes of stealing people's properties
and undermining the authority of the state and conducting
terrorist acts.
The same court also sentenced in absentia Elias Ibrahim
al-Haddad, and Qasem Ibrahim Alyan under charges of making
contacts with Israel and jailing them for 15 years. In
addition some other 15 Lahd hireling militia members were
sentenced for different periods of time.
