KARAM CONVEYS LETTER FROM GEAGEA TO LAHOUD
December 11, 2000 11:25 AM
The head of the Editors' Syndicate Melhem Karam visited Samir Geagea, head of the dismantled Lebanese Forces, at his Defense Ministry prison on Monday morning.
After the visit, Karam told Naharnet that Geagea is in good health and gave him a letter to deliver to President Emile Lahoud.

In the letter, Geagea calls on Lahoud to pursue the national unity by adopting an addendum to the 1991 amnesty law that should have been global.

On the other hand, Karam said Geagea explained the hard conditions of his incarceration saying that a special amnesty law does not serve anything for the time being.

He added that what is needed is a global pardon from which all those who were excluded from the 1991 pardon law could benefit.
