Todays
event was a historical one. It all started around
1:00PM with the LF departing towards Bkerki from
three different regions (Jbeil, Dbayeh and Kaslik).
There were Army checkpoints at both entries to enter
Bkerke. The army was checking the cars and tearing
any pictures they found. The army also took the
names of some people.
Thousands (from 15,000 to 20,000), gathered in Bkerke
and started the march (Massira) going up to Harrisa.
It was raining but everyone continued walking until
they reached to the top.
Once we arrived to Harrisa a mass took place to
commemorate Samir Geagea. The mass also mentioned
our late martyrs including Ramzi Irani and Fawzi
el Rassi.
The atmosphere was full of hope. People carried
pictures of Samir Geagea and LF flags, hoping this
would be the last solidarity week ever to be held,
wishing next year we will celebrate Easter all together
with our great leader.
